Datlamen - Temporary Gate installation

Please be advised that a temporary gate has been installed at the 6.5K mark on Datlamen Main

We understand and appreciate that access to the backcountry is important to many community residents, and we recognize that the temporary gate installation at approximately 6.5 km on the Datlamen Main may be frustrating for those who use the area.

This gate is a temporary measure intended to help prevent backcountry camping in the area and to support the safety of workers while activity is underway nearby. It will remain in place only until the Dinan Road can be properly deactivated.

We anticipate that the work will take approximately one month. Once the work is complete, the temporary gate will be removed.
